At the meeting last night, Danny Shea asked a question that I don't think ever got a specific answer: what exactly are we doing right? I believe that if we can be more specific than "we have great programming," then it will be to our benefit. So this might be a good place to discuss and pin down exactly what we do well.

Off the top of my head some of the things we are doing right:
We volunteer tons of our time.
We are reliable in that we show up for our scheduled shows, even in inclement wx.
We are knowledgeble about the music we play.
We program our shows appropriately for the description of the show.
Many of us are financial donors.
Please add to this list, I think there are hundreds of items we can list as to what we're doing right.

TJU provides a variety of formats and selection mixes that is not found anywhere else, as far as I know. I especially like the jazz programming & have learned lots in the 20+ yrs I've been listening. I fondly remember the Bartender's Roots shows. The folk & americana shows also great, and WHERE ELSE will you find world music in the variety offered here?? As a long time supporter I'm kinda shocked that the audience share is so low, and dismayed that format changes are being looked at as the answer. DJ autonomy is the difference that makes the station unique, IMO. Keep it! What can you do better? Celebrate & PROMOTE the difference! Do some marketing, fer cryin out loud!

You currently don't have the repetition that having a rotation causes.
